On January 22, HCMC Finance and Investment State owned company (HFIC) organized a 2014 year end summation ceremony and implementation of assignments in 2015, Vice Chairwoman of HCMC People’s Committee attended.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Liem, Deputy Director of HFIC, said HFIC’s turnover in 2014 reached nearly VND 450 billion, equal to 100% of the plan. Especially, turnover earned from direct investment activities increased from VND 3.59 billion to VND 91.19 billion. Pre-tax revenue in 2014 stayed at VND 52 billion, contributing to the State’s budget nearly VND 365 billion, up 72% compared to the same period of last year.
In term of capital mobilization, apart from mobilizing capital for enterprises, HFIC also mobilized capitals for HCMC (issuing local government bonds valued at VND 21,000 billion till end of 2014) and for infrastructure investment and development projects in HCMC.
Besides, HFIC also did a good job in investment promotion and co-operation with specialized partners and financial organizations to carry out large scale projects.
In term of granting loans, HFIC always gives priority to practical projects of socio-economic development of HCMC such as healthcare, education, transport infrastructure, environment, etc, contributing to improvement and enhancement of quality of lives of people
In 2015, HFIC will focus on mobilizing capitals for technical infrastructure investment and development projects of HCMC, pushing disbursement of AFD 3 capital (Eu 6 million), mobilizing capitals from LienvietPost bank and Viettin bank (VND 4000 billion) for key projects, issuing local government bonds to earn additional investment capitals, etc. HFIC will make efforts in accelerating implementation of approved investment projects including Tan Hoa-Lo Gom wastewater treatment plant, Phuoc Hoa –Dau Tieng integrated exploitation project, high value added industries, etc.
