At the conference, Deputy Director of HCMC Department of Planning and Investment Tran Thi Binh Minh said the city has defined 2 main factors to achieve the above goal including transforming business households into enterprises, increasing number of newly registered enterprises.

 
In 2016, the city had 36, 000 enterprises established, an increase of 14% compared to 2015. It is expected to reach 43, 500 newly established enterprises in 2017. In order to achieve the number of 50, 000 enterprises in 2017, the city should encourage 7, 000 business households to transform themselves into enterprises.

Addressing at the conference, Mr. Le Thanh Liem suggested departments-agencies and districts to quickly realize the Decision No 1482/QD-UBND, to work out propaganda plans, to strengthen administrative reform, to create the most favorable conditions for business households to transform into enterprises.

HCMC has now 281, 309 individual business households, in order to achieve the number of 500, 000 enterprises by 2020, it is necessary to transform at least 100, 000 business households into enterprises. Therefore, it requires an annual average transformation of 20, 00 business households into enterprises.
