On February 10, Deputy Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Tat Thanh Cang together with leaders of related departments and agencies worked with HCMC Business Association on operation activities of enterprises in the city.
As a report, Mr. Chu Tien Dung, Chairman of HCMC Business Association said, HCM Business Association has now 65 affiliated associations and clubs with more than 9000 members, including 450 direct members. To support its members in business and production activities, competitiveness improvement and to play the role of linking bridge between businesses and local authorities, HCMC Business Association has implemented 9 support programs including improving quality of human resource, supporting legal and integration issues, assessing capital, trade promotion, improving information system, etc.
In order to enhance role of HCMC Business Association in the context of deep and wide integration, the association proposed HCMC to soon work out planning on retail system to support local retailers, linking manufacturers with retailers to protect the market, strengthening administration reform at all levels to support businesses, etc. Representative of HCMC Business Association also suggested that HCMC needs to soon a center of raw material and fashion design; offering a n interest rate equal to that of regional countries to create favorable conditions for local businesses to compete with foreign ones.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tat Thanh Cang suggested HCMC Business Association to take businesses and entrepreneurs as a key and decisive factor for its activities, supporting and protecting their legitimate rights. Mr. Cang requested HCMC Business Association to play the role of linking bridge to improve competitiveness of businesses; providing economic information; promoting the role of entrepreneurs in the process of implementing 07 breakthrough programs of the city in the process of deep and wide integration.
