HCMC, December 16, HCMC Party Committee-People’s Council-People’s Committee- Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee- HCMC, Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee-People’s Council-People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee-Ca Mau Province organized a conference summarizing the results of socio-economic development cooperation program in the period of 2009-2016 and deploying cooperation directions between both sides in 2016 - 2020.
At the conference, leaders of HCMC and Ca Mau signed cooperation deal in 2016-2020. According to the deal, both sides will promote comprehensive cooperation in socio-economic development, especially in agricultural cooperation programs such as experience exchange, close collaboration in inspection, monitoring and prevention of poultry and animal diseases and of food safety and hygiene. Accordingly, both localities will coordinate to do research and planning on development of stable material areas supplying to manufacturing requirements of household products and for export.
Highly appreciated the both sides’ cooperation, Deputy Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Tat Thanh Cang suggested HCMC People’s Committee and Ca Mau Provincial People’s Committee to provide guidance on effective implementation of cooperation contents signed by HCMC and Ca Mau in 2016-2020 which put a focus on promoting investment in fields that Ca Mau is calling for investment. Both sides need to issue policies to further attract investment, to strengthen administrative reform, to create favorable conditions for businesses to do business successfully in Ca Mau.
He also suggested that both localities’ authorities should arrange for two Deputy Chairmen of HCMC People’s Committee and Ca Mau Provincial People’s Committee to inspect and provide guidance on the implementation process, to work out synchronous coordination mechanisms, to timely remove difficulties for enterprises. Mr. Tat Thanh Can emphasized the need of calling for investors and enterprises to strengthen business cooperation with other localities, including Ca Mau for mutual development and for common benefits of the country and of businesses.
