On August 29, Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan received Governor of Yamanashi Prefecture (Japan) Hitoshi Goto in his working visit to HCMC.
In his welcome speech, Mr. Nhan said Vietnam-Japan cooperation relations in general and HCMC-Japan in particular have been well-developed, especially in fields of trade and investment. HCMC has conducted cooperation & experience sharing activities with many localities of Japan in fields of smart urban development, urban management, agriculture, etc.
He affirmed that the city hopes to strengthen cooperation with Yamanashi Prefecture in fields of bi-technology research, crop seed, training, apprentice exchange, nursing, etc.
Being impressed by strong development of HCMC, Mr. Hitoshi Goto expressed his belief at the development potential of HCMC in the future and expected to receive support of the city’s leaders in further promoting cooperation relations between HCMC and Yamanashi Prefecture in fields of both sides’ interest.
