The first visitors to HCMC in 2017 in VN30 flight of Vietnam Airline come from Germany and TG550 of Thai Airways coming from London.
 
Deputy Chairwoman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thu together with leaders of HCMC Department of Tourism and HCMC Tourism Association, SACCO, etc. welcome and gives beautiful flowers and significant gifts to tourists as a “thank you” message and best wished in the Lunar New Year days.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu said the welcoming ceremony presents the hospitality and friendliness of the city; it also opens a series of events, exchanges and tourism promotion activities in 2017 of HCMC.
 
She added HCMC tourism sector in 2017 will continue developing many unique tourism products for MICE, waterway tourism, culinary tourism-agricultural tourism, etc. associated with health care, diagnosis and treatment services. The city aims to attract 5, 6 million international visitors and 24 million domestic tourists in 2017, up 10% compared to 2016. The city will continue to affirm its position and a leading tourism center of the whole country.

At the ceremony, Mrs. Thu expressed her hope that the first international visitors to HCMC will enjoy a warm and friendly atmosphere and hospitality of the city’s people, she wished visitors a happy new year with many beautiful memories in a city where converges cultural characteristics and habits of many people around the country, unique cultural characteristics of the city’s people – dynamism and sentiment of local people.
