The center is expected to be located at Phong Phu Industrial Park with an area of 10 hectares including 4 functional areas: commercial complex (office and trade);  area for storing, extracting, packaging chemical and aromatic spice; container space and inland wharf (if any); other support facilities.

The project will be carried in 4 stages: adjusting planning and bidding (August-October 2016), land clearance and compensation and other procedures (November 2016-February 2017), starting construction (March 2017-November 2017), putting into operation since December 2017.
In his conclusion, Mr. Tran Vinh Tuyen said it is plan of the city to build a large-scale multifunctional chemical trading center. The center will serve as a place for trading aromatic spices, chemical; warehouses for rent, exhibition; providing consultancy services of usage of aromatic spices and chemicals after relocating Kim Bien chemical market out of residential area. Construction of this center also aims to develop the large-scale chemical trading market in HCMC and the whole country.

He assigned functional agencies the jobs of setting up plans to choose investors, completing land clearance, etc. It is expected till end of 2016 to select potential investors and to put the center into operation in late 2017.
