(HCM CityWeb) – In the evening of May 10, Vice Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Van Khoa received a delegation from Yunnan province led by Deputy Governor Li Jiang
At the meeting, Mr. Khoa highly valued the visit of the delegation, saying HCMC has established relations with 7 cities and provinces of China. In the past years, many Chinese enterprises paid a special attention and invested in HCMC but still limited and not matched with potential of both sides. China is now ranked 14th out of countries and territories investing in HCMC.
According to Mr. Khoa, Yunnan province has many strengths and potential for cooperation with HCMC, especially in fields of trade, tourism and culture.
Through this visit, Mr. Khoa expressed his hope that the co-operation relation between HCMC and Yunnan as well as between both sides’ enterprises will enter a new phase, contributing to the strengthening of mutual understanding and improvement of Vietnam-China cooperation relations.
Highly valued the traditional relation between both sides, Mrs. Li Jiang hoped that this visit will open opportunities for cooperation between Vietnam and China, especially between Yunnan and localities of Vietnam. She added Yunnan province has an abundant natural resource for tourism development and other advantages. HCMC and Yunnan have many similarities that can support each other. She expressed her hope both sides will discuss specific fields such as trade, culture, etc.
