HCMC strengthens cooperation with Saitama (Japan)

(HCM CityWeb) – On July 6, Vice Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Van Khoa received Mr. Iwasaki Yasuo, Deputy Governor of Saitama province (Japan) on a visit to HCMC to seek investment cooperation opportunities.


At the reception, Mr. Le Van Khoa briefly introduced socio-economic development situation of HCMC and its development orientations in the future.
 
He stressed the Vietnam-Japan relation, especially between HCMC with Japan’s localities. He said Vietnam-Japan cooperation relation has been continuously strengthened and developed. HCMC has been focusing on strengthening comprehensive cooperation with Japan. He highly valued effective operation of Japanese investors in the city, making important contributions to the development of HCMC in the past time. Japan is now ranked fifth out of foreign countries investing in HCMC.

As a driving force of the whole country, Mr. Khoa committed to create favorable conditions for foreign investors including Japanese ones to seek and promote investment cooperation opportunities in the city.

Highly valued the cooperation potential with HCMC, Mr. Iwasaki Yasuo said HCMC is now showing many favorable conditions and good cooperation opportunities with Japanese investors. He added there are more and more Japanese companies in Saitama getting updated information of investment environment in HCMC, saying they are interested in strengthening cooperation with HCMC in fields of automobile, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, agriculture.
