On October 26, Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Huynh Cach Mang received a delegation of Korean National Diplomatic Academy led by Mr. Lee Kyong Yul, Korean Ambassador to Angola in a working visit to HCMC.
Highly valued HCMC as economic locomotive of Vietnam, Mr. Lee Kyong Yul said many Korean enterprises choose HCMC as an ideal place for living and doing business. According to him, Korea and HCMC have many similarities of culture and history, saying both sides have many cooperation potential in fields of culture and sport in the future.
In the framework of the meeting, members of the delegation mentioned issues of preserving Vietnam cultural identities in the context of globalization; support policies for Korean investors in HCMC; administrative procedures in investment as well as administrative reform of the city in the future.
For his part, Mr. Huynh Cach Mang warmly welcomed the delegation coming to HCMC, affirming the city always attaches the importance to friendship and cooperation relation with localities of Korea. A typical example includes the establishment of friendship relations between HCMC with Busan and Daege of Korea.
With a motto of considering success of enterprises as of the city, HCMC’s authority always creates favorable conditions for foreign investors doing business in the city, Mr. Huynh Cach Mang expressed his hope that members of the delegation will send this message to Korean business community.
Vietnam and Korea will celebrate the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relation in 2017. On this occasion, HCMC is incorporation with Gyeongsangbuk-do to organize the World Cultural Festival in October 2017 in HCMC. High-profile leaders of both countries are expected to join the festival.
