HCMC commits to carry out programs to promote economic, cultural, educational coperation, people to people links in 2018 with Japan on the occation of the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations.
This was confirmed by Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong in a reception with Mr. Kazuyuki Nakane – Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan in the afternoon of January 26 2018.
Mr. Phong thanked Japanese Government and people for supporing Vietnam with ODA projects in recent years to promote Vietnam’s economic growth, poverty reduction and hunger eradication. He expressed his hope that Mr. Kazuyuki Nakane will continue promote cooperation between Japanese localities and HCMC, espeically in the context of celebration of 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations. Mr. Phong emphasized that the cooperation potential between HCMC and Japan is still huge in fields of both sides’ strength like tourism, trade, infrastucture, climage change adaptation, urban management, people to people link, etc .
In the coming time, HCMC is willing to promote cooperation relations with Japanese partners to further foster and to develop good cooperation relations between Vietnam and Japan. On behalf of Japanese Government, Mr. Kazuyuki Nakane thanked HCMC for cooperating and supporting Japanese partners to implement friendship activities, creating favorable conditions for Japanese companies to invest and do business in HCMC. He said that Japan is ready for supporting Vietnam, including HCMC, to implement infrastructure projects in accordance with international standard or promote cooperation in fields of Japan’s strengths.
