On the evening of March 24, Permanent Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem received a delegation of young Francophone parliamentarians led by General Secretary of of Francophone parliamentary union Didier Le Bot.
At the reception, Mr. Le Thanh Liem highly appreciated the participation of a delegation of young Francophone parliamentarians into the meeting of Committee on Parliamentary Affairs of Francophone Parliamentary Assembly (APF) organized in HCMC. He said the relations between APF and Vietnam, including HCMC has been strongly and continuously developed through the meeting of Committee on Parliamentary Affairs of APF.
Mr. Liem said Vietnam is a member of French speaking community, so HCMC will be an active supporter of APF. He expressed his hope that APF will promote more support activities in the city.
For his part, Mr. Didier Le Bot said this was the 2nd meeting of committee on Parliamentary Affairs of APF organized in Vietnam. He highly appreciated the dynamism and active participation of Vietnamese delegates.
The meeting of Committee on Parliamentary Affairs of APF was taken place from March 24-25 with a review on implementation of APF strategy framework in the period of 2013-2017; the inter-parliamentary cooperation program in 2017-2018; review on multi-bilateral inter-parliamentary cooperation initiatives, etc.
