On December 13, at HCMC’s headquarter, Permanent Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem, leaders of relevant departments and agencies had a meeting with Consulate Generals of Britain and Northern Ireland together with British Business Group Vietnam to listen and share difficulties with them.

At the meeting, Mr. Le Thanh Liem said the UK is one of the largest foreign investors in HCMC. Vietnam-UK strategic partnership signed in 2010 has strongly developed through the visits of UK Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs to Vietnam. This is an important milestone for Vietnam and the UK to strengthen cooperation relation.

Mr. Le Thanh Liem added that till November 216, the UK ranks 12th out of foreign countries investing in HCMC. He emphasized that with well-developed bilateral cooperation relation between HCMC and the UK, it is expected that a number of UK investment projects continue increasing in HCMC, the city’s authorities will continue improving its investment environment to create favorable conditions for UK investors.
