HCMC’s leaders receives Special Advisor of Japanese Prime Minister

On December 12, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong received Mr. Isao Iijima, Special Advisor of Japanese Prime Minister and some Japanese businesses in a visit to seek cooperation and investment opportunities in the city.

At the reception, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong expressed his delight at receiving Mr. Isao Iijima and a Japanese business delegation in a working visit to HCMC. Mr. Phong believed the visit will achieve fruitful results and make contributions to the good cooperation relations between Vietnam and Japan.

Mr. Phong said the city is focusing on improving quality of growth, enhancing competitiveness of economy and building HCMC into a large economic-financial-commercial-scientific-technological center of Vietnam and the Southeast Asia region. Therefore, the city always welcomes the Japanese businesses accompanied by Mr. Isao Iijima on a visit to seek cooperation opportunities in the city.

Mr. Isao Iijima emphasized that Japanese businesses are showing their interest in seeking investment opportunities in Vietnam and HCMC in fields of science-technology, infrastructure, tourism, hi-tech agriculture, environmental treatment, etc. He expressed his hope that HCMC’s authorities continue creating favorable conditions for Japanese businesses to seek investment opportunities and to strengthen their investment expansion in the city.
