On May 30, a delegation led by Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan paid a visit and gave gifts to the elderly people in Thoi Tam Mon Commune, Hoc Mon District on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of Vietnam Elderly Day (6/6/1941 – 6/6/2017).
In a visit to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Do Thi Chon, born 1927, at Nam Thoi Hamlet, Secretary Nguyen Thien Nhan congratulated her on the occasion of Vietnam Elderly Day.
Mr. Nhan also expressed his respect and gratitude to Mrs. Do Thi Chon for her great contributions to the revolution. He stressed that the city always remembers her whole-hearted devotion and sacrifice for the country, wished her long life to be a typical example for the next generations.
At the same day, Mr. Nhan also paid a visit to Mr. Tran Van Chang, born 1927, Nam Thoi Hamlet. Mr. Nhan wished her good health and asked her relatives to take a good care of her, affirming that the city will continue promoting revolutionary tradition of previous generations to build and develop the city.
