At Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted Students, Secretary of HCMC Party’s Committee Le Thanh Hai beat the ceremonial drum to signal the opening of the school year. Mr. Hai highly appreciated achievements of Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted Students, saying that the school is one of pioneers in scientific research movement, 90% students are qualified in universities yearly. In addition, Le Hong Phong School is always paying attention to education of ideology, morality, lifestyle, etc, help students pursuit all sided development and become useful citizens.

Mr. Hai asked that Le Hong Phong School must take the initiative in proposing creative, effective and breakthrough solutions. In the process of teaching and learning, the school needs to focus on educating patriotism, national pride, morality and lifestyle for students.

For students, Mr. Hai said that students should begin the academic year with passion and enthusiasm; they need to acquire knowledge; train morality, lifestyle and social skills and become good citizens, improve patriotic tradition and traditional fondness for learning. At the opening ceremony, managing board of the school has commended and rewarded 69 outstanding students who gained high points in the national high school examination.

At the same day, Gia Dinh High School also organized 2015-2016 school year opening ceremony. Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan attended and beat the ceremonial drum.

In the last year, rate of good and excellent students of Gia Dinh High School is increasing; there is no repeater, no student leaving school.  The school is now increasing its advanced classes to 5 subjects including Math, Physics, chemistry, English and philology. Not only be excellent in studying, students have achieved many outstanding performances in culture, arts, gymnastics, sports, volunteer movements, scientific research, etc.

Mr. Le Hoang Quan asked Gia Dinh High School continue to renew its teaching and learning method as well as its assessment measures of learning results of students, further improve its training and fostering activities for good students, encourage students to participate into scientific research, bring into play creative ability.

Mr. Quan also requested that students continue to study obediently, to train morality and lifestyle in order to be good citizens.

At the same time, Permanent Deputy Secretary of HCMC Party’s Committee Vo Van Thuong attended the school year opening ceremony of Truong Chinh High School in District 12. Chairwoman of HCMC People’s Council Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam attended the school year opening ceremony of Vo Thi Sau High School in Binh Thanh District. Major General Truong Van Hai, Commander of HCMC High Command attended the school year opening ceremony of HCMC School of Army Child.
