(HCM CityWeb) – On the morning of September 5, all schools in HCMC organized the 2016-2017school year opening ceremonies, leaders of HCMC attended and shared their joy with teachers and students.
Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Dinh La Thang attended the school year opening ceremony of Le Hong Phong High School, gave flowers to teachers and students and beat the drum to kick off the 2016-2017 new school year.
In the 2016-2017 school year, Le Hong Phong High School has nearly 2,500 students from Grade 6 to Grade 12. The school will focus on continuing renewing education system, strengthening self-learning capability and creativity of students.
On this occasion, the school has praised 13 students of Grade 12 in recognition of their outstanding performances in the 2015-2016 university examination.
Since 1995, the school has been playing its role assigned by the Government of training high quality students in Southern provinces and cities. Every year, the rate of students getting into universities and colleges reaches 90%.
On this occasion, the school was awarded the excellent emulation flag for its good results in the 2015-2016 school year by HCMC People’s Committee; the city has praised 60 students with good results in the national excellent student contest and university examination. In addition, liaison board of former teachers of students of Petrus Ky-Le Hong Phong has awarded 18 scholarships worth VND 4 million/each for good students.
