In the first three months of 2016, Index of Industrial Production (IIP) in HCMC increased by 5, 7% compared to 2015, the highest growth rate in the past 5 years.
On April 14, HCMC Department of Trade and Industry said in Q.1, IIP of HCMC increased by 5,7% compared to 2015, of which processing and manufacturing industries enjoyed an increase of 5,8%, IIP of 4 key industries increased by 5,3% compared to the same period.
Thus, IIP tends to increase and reaches the highest growth rate in the past 5 years. Specifically, IIP in Q.1 2012 increased by 2, 7%, 3, 6% in 2013, 4, 9% in 2014, 5, 6% in 2015 and 5, 7% in 2016.
It is a proof that trading and production environment in HCMC is more and more favorable for enterprises through financial and interest rate support policies, stimulus programs, effective administrative reforms, etc.
In addition, Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) of HCMC also increases significantly from 20th (2011) to 4th (2014), the city is also ranked 6th in Public Administration Reform Index (PAR-Index).
