HCMC’s 10th Book Festival themed: “Book-Culture, Integration & Development” was officially opened on March 19 at Le Van Tam Park, District 1. Attending the opening ceremony include Vice President of Vietnam Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh and Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong
The 10th Book Festival is the biggest ever event, 20% larger than previous ones in scale. Specifically, the festival has 900 booths from 175 units from Vietnam and foreign countries compared to 110 booths in the first edition.
The Book Festival displays and sells 300,000 book titles and 30 million copies, number of booths of foreign units increasing by 30% with famous publishers like Oxford University Press, Cambridge, National Geographic, Macmillan, Sage, Houghton Mifflin Harcort, Hachette Publishing House, Kinokuniya (Japan), Cornelson, Kletz and Heuber (Germany), Publishers Association of Taiwan, etc. In addition, the Book Festival also attracts participation of many stationery suppliers, manufacturers of learning equipment from foreign countries like USA, Japan, Korea, UK, Germany, Singapore, etc.
