HCMC revokes 536 sluggish urban projects
536 urban projects running behind schedule has been revoked in Ho Chi Minh City, reported the city People’s Committee on July 5.
The report was made at a meeting with the HCMC People’s Council Standing Committee on the implementation of a council’s resolution on urban planning together with implementation and management.
The people’s committee has basically completed urban planning as per instruction in the resolution.
Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam, chairwoman of the people’s council, appreciated the committee efforts in implementing the resolution. However, it should pay more attention to rights of residents in areas of the revoked projects, she said.
The city should consider changing traffic construction and green cover plans in areas where have been crowdedly resided to lessen impact on residents’ life.
