Also in this year, HCMC will do research on implementation plan of reducing green house gas emission consistent with some sectors and fields; boosting exchange of information, experience; actively co-operating and international integration, negotiating with nations, sponsors to support HCMC to solve issues related to climate change.

According to HCMC People’s Committee, being a big urban area on the road of comprehensive development, HCMC is facing challenges from impacts and risks of climate change. In 2014, HCMC focused on working out guidance documents, implementation plan on coping with climate change including: Decision No 2838/QD-UBND dated June 11, 2014 on implementation plan of action program  No 34-CTrHD/TU of HCMC Party Committee and Decision NO 08/NQ-CP by the Government on implementation of Resolution No 24-NQ/TW of 7^th Plenum of the 11^th Party Central Committee on coping with climate change; boosting propaganda on climate change to community through mass media; preparing for conferences, training, studying knowledge on climate change; strengthening coordination with international organizations to protect environment and to cope with climate change.
