Ho Chi Minh City has planned to attract further scientists to work in the city by a new policy on favourable treatment which says scientists can be paid VND150 million (US$ 7,015) a month.
Mr. Le Manh Ha, Deputy Chairman of People’s Committee in, on Novembetr 26 signed the regulation to carry out the favourable treatment policy to attract scientists.
The city desires to attract more scientists to work in the High Tech Park, the High Tech Agriculture Zone, the Institute for Computational Science and Technology and the Biotechnology Center of Ho Chi Minh City
Accordingly, scientists who are Vietnamese or Vietnamese living abroad will receive salary and bonuses of around VND150 million (US$ 7,015) per month. The increase in salary or bonus will depend on the agreement between the company and scientists in the labor contract.
As per the regulation of the city People’s Committee, the four mentioned-above companies will send its demand of scientists to the Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Home Affairs to submit to the People’s Committee for approval.
