A delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City's authorities, led by former Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Le Thanh Hai visited Lung Cu border guard station and Dong Van District in the northern province of Ha Giang on June 13. HCMC offers VND5 billion to northern mountainous areas
Attending in the visit were Deputy Standing Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Tat Thanh Cang and Deputy Secretary of Ha Giang Communist Party Committee, Trieu Tai Vinh.
Lung Cu belongs to Dong Van district, Ha Giang. It is far about 200 kilometer from Ha Giang town. The Northernmost point of Vietnam shares its border line of 26km with China.
Mr. Le Thanh Hai and Tat Thanh Cang expressed their gratitude for great contribution of the border guard force and local people to the protection of national security and socio-economic and political stability.
The delegation offered gifts to the Lung Cu border guard station and VND5 billion which is deducted from the city budget to the provincial committee of the Party. The money will be donated to remote mountainous districts, Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Dong Van and Meo Vac, and social and charitable activities in the province.
