Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has instructed departments and districts not to send delegations to give New Year greetings, flowers and presents to leaders of all levels.
They should well perform welfare polices and take care of the material and spirit life of residents, especially those under the State’s preferential treatment policy and the poor.
Relevant sides were ordered to prepare commodities with good quality and suitable prices, and ensure social safety and order, security, traffic safety and fire prevention in the coming Tet holidays that will fall in next February.
Authorized organs should visit Vietnamese heroic mothers, families under the special care policy, disadvantaged children, and workers and students who are unaffordable to return their hometowns for the Tet celebration.
The city will continue implementation of the price subsidization program with aiming to keep market prices above a common price floor during the Tet holidays.
Construction sites must be halted before February 15 or the 27th day of the 12th lunar month. Execution units have to clean up the sites and restore road surfaces.
