At the reception, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong expressed his delight over comprehensive deeply developed co-operation between Laos and Vietnam, especially the co-operation relations between HCMC and localities of Laos including Vientiane and Champasak.

Mr. Phong said HCMC always supports Laos in its development process. He hoped that HCMC and localities in Laos will further increase exchange of delegates, promote comprehensive co-operation in fields of trade, tourism, etc. to effectively exploit potentials of both sides.

He wished Mr. Somxay Sanam – Oune huge success in his tenure in HCMC and believed that Mr. Somxay Sanam-Oune will deepen the co-operation relations between HCMC and localities in Laos tighten sustainable and traditional solidarity and friendship relations between both countries.

In his part, Mr. Somxay Sanam – Oune expressed his delight at his new mission in HCMC. He hoped that HCMC will create favorable conditions for him to accomplish his work excellently and to further strengthen co-operation with localities of Laos.
