The Department of Education and Training in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday praised good teachers and students of junior and senior high schools for the academic year 2013-2014.
There were 357 teachers achieving the title Good Teacher for the last school year. Among them there were 119 teachers winning the First, Second and Third Prizes in contests selecting good teachers.
Activities launched by the department has encouraged teachers and students to take part in teaching and learning well to improve education quality.
The department also honored good students who have been eager to participate in contests. 510 scientific researches written by students in various contests. 150 of them were granted certificates of merit and medals. 38 of 120 other research works on physic won prizes.

The High School Student Photography Contest received 10,393 photos from students and organizers selected 28 photos to offer prizes.
