Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee and the Japan’s Kansai Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI Kansai) signed a framework agreement of economic cooperation on June 2.

The pact plays a significant role in developing the support industry, said city’s Chairman Le Hoang Quan during the talk with METI Kansai head Toshinori Kobayachi.

HCMC will do its best to develop cooperation relations between two sides, the chairman added.

Japanese businesses now consider HCMC as the first choice to invest in, said Mr. Kobayachi.
