HCMC holds three photograph exhibitions on National Day
A photograph exhibition named ‘Promoting the spirit of August Revolution in 1945 for developing and protecting the country’ at HCMC Youth Cultural House on September 1, marking the National Day (September 2, 1945).
The exhibition launching ceremony was attended by Deputy Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Head of the City Party Committee's Department of Education and Popularization Than Thi Thu, Deputy Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Hua Ngoc Thuan and representative city leaders of departments, relevant agencies.
Over 99 colorful images, documentary photographs reviewed the historical periods of struggle, great victories of army forces, people through the revolutionary movements during 15 years after the establishment of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930), the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the general uprising of August Revolution in 1945.
In addition, the exhibition also introduces to viewers images on the great achievements of the country in general, and Ho Chi Minh City in particular in economic, cultural and social development; the industrialization and modernization.
On the same day, Vietnam Photographer Association accompanied with the fourth Corps of High Command also celebrated a photograph exhibition of photographer Ha Quoc Thai with 99 images at the Youth Cultural House.
The entries described activities in life, difficult training progresses and supports of people, soldiers and army force.
An additional photograph exhibition with 100 images also was held at Chi Lang Park in Ho Chi Minh City.
