At the reception, Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong stressed that in the context of well-developed Vietnam-Korea strategic partnership, HCMC-Gyeongju 2017 World Cultural Festival will be a good opportunity for both countries to further promote cooperation and friendship relation in fields of culture, tourism, economy. It is an important event to welcome the 25th anniversary of Vietnam-Korea diplomatic relations.

Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong said the Festival is an occasion for the city to introduce its images of a modern-civilized-sentimental city to international friends, through the festival, Vietnamese people will better understand about long cultural history of Gyeongju land. Mr. Phong affirmed HCMC’s leaders will create favorable conditions to successfully organize the festival, partly contributing to the deep strategic partnership between sides, bringing cooperation and friendship relation between HCMC and localities of Korea to a new height.

For his part, Mr. Kim Kwan Yong said the Festival is an occasion for both sides to promote bilateral cooperation and cultural exchange. Through the festival, people of both countries will strengthen mutual understanding; build a linking bridge for strong development and prosperity of both nations.
