HCMC eyes hi-tech hospital in Saigon hi-tech park

On the afternoon of September 6, at the headquarter of HCMC People’s Committee, Allied Telesis, Quantus Corporation (US) and Saigon Hi-Tech Park signed a MOU on investing a life science research and development institute combine with hi-tech hospital. Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong witnessed the signing ceremony.



According to the MOU, Allied Telesis and Quantus Corporation will select their partners to invest this project with total investment capital of US$ 500 million

The project has a total area of 7, 22 ha with two phases. Phase 1 includes completion of design and construction with total capital of US$ 250 million and expected to be completed in July 2018. Phase 2 includes installation of hi-tech equipment and machinery for treatment of cancer, cardiology, orthopedic surgery, etc. with total capital of US$ 250 million. Phase 2 is expected to be completed in July 2019.

From now on, Allied Telesis and Quantus Corporation and partners will complete dossiers for registration of certificate of investment till September 30 2016.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong highly valued the quality, scale and potential values of the project. Briefing investment incentives, Mr. Phong said the city is in the process of socializing health sector to create more opportunities for local peoples to easily access to health services. So investors will be provided the best incentives in this sector in the coming time. “HCMC is always accompanying with enterprises, committing to ensure favorable conditions for projects to be completed on schedule”, Mr. Phong said.

He expressed his hope that Allied Telesis and Quantus Corporation will continue investing many other health projects to help improve quality of health sector in Vietnam.
