On the afternoon of march 15, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong received Ambassador Bruno Angelet, Head of Delegation of European Union to Vietnam on his working visit to HCMC.

At the reception, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong said the city has been incorporation with members of EU in developing traffic infrastructure projects including Metro Line No 2, Soai Rap River dredging project, agricultural cooperation projects and climate change adaptation, etc. He expressed his hope that Ambassador Bruno Angelet continues strengthening cooperation between EU’s members with Vietnam in general and with HCMC in particular.

For his part, Ambassador Bruno Angelet stressed the well-developed Vietnam-EU cooperation relation in many fields, expressing his impression on the strong development of HCMC to become one of world’s 10 most dynamic cities. Mr.  Bruno Angelet said the city needs to complete its policies to foreign investors in the coming time, pay more attention to intellectual property related issues and food safety and hygiene, etc. to become an ideal destination for member countries of EU.
