On December 31, HCMC Department of Finance organized a conference on State budget collection and expense results in 2014. Attending the conference are Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Le Thanh Hai, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan, Chairwoman of HCMC People’s Council Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam, Vice Chairwoman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hong, leaders of districts and representatives of enterprises that pay a large amount of tax to the State budget. |
At the conference, Director of HCMC Department of Finance Dao Thi Huong Lan said that estimated State budget revenue of HCMC in 2014 assigned by the Prime Minister and Ministry of Finance stays at VND 226,300 billion; of which local budget revenue was VND 124,200 billion, budget revenue from export-import activities reached VND 74,800 billion and from crude oil was VND 27,300 billion.
HCMC contributes 30% to the State budget revenue. In 2014, the city’s budget revenue surpassed 11,44% as planned equivalent to VND25, 260 billion ( 1% equivalent to VND2,260 billion), said Mrs. Lan
Total expense of the city was VND45, 449 billion, accounting for 108, 26% as estimated (VND 41, 979 billion), of which total expense for development investment was VND 19, 213 billion. Total expense for development investment in 2014 (excluding ODA) was VND 15, 475 billion, accounting for 90% of the plan.
In 2015, as assigned by Ministry of Finance, HCMC’s budget revenue is VND265, 776 billion. This is a very difficult task for HCMC Department of Finance, sectors and districts, it demands great efforts to complete the task. From positive results in 2014 together with ceaseless efforts, consensus of the entire political system, enterprises, people, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hong believed that HCMC will reach or even surpass the estimated target in 2015. The year 2015 is very significant and important year – a year of completing socio-economic targets in the period of 2011-2015 and creating premise for the 5 following years (2016-2020).
