On October 31, HCMC People’s Committee and Seoul City (Korea) signed a Friendship and Cooperation Agreement in fields of urban transport, urban railway, e-government, tourism, culture, climate change adaptation, and smart city.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Van Khoa highly valued Vietnam-Korea cooperation relation in general and of HCMC and localities of Korea in particular. He expressed his belief that the signing of Friendship and Cooperation agreement of both sides will open more cooperation and trade exchange opportunities for both countries’ companies in the coming time. Mr. Khoa expressed his hope that the signing would encourage Korean investors to strengthen cooperation and investment in the city and to become the largest foreign investor in HCMC.
For his part, Mr. Gyoung –gee Liu, Deputy Mayor of Seoul stressed that Vietnam-Korea cooperation relation has been continuously strengthened and reinforced on every aspect in the past time. He expressed his belief that the signing between HCMC and Seoul would further promote cooperation between both sides in fields of economy, culture, tourism.
Mr. Gyoung –gee Liu added that Seoul is willing to discuss, share its experience and solutions on climate change adaptation and urban area development with HCMC.
