At the meeting, Mr. Allen Warren thanked leaders of HCMC for warm welcome, expressed his impression at development of HCMC. He said information about HCMC gathered from this visit will be widely introduced in the USA. Based on achieved results between USA and Vietnam in general and between Sacramento and HCMC in particular, Mr. Allen believed in mutual understanding and joint development between both cities. 

The visit aims to study cultural-socio-economic situations of HCMC. The delegation also paid a visit to Vietnam National University-HCMC, University of Forestry and Agriculture, Saigon hi-tech Park, etc. These events are part of co-operation deal signed by HCMC and Sacramento in the USA in July 2015. Mr. Tat Thanh Cang expressed his hope that the visit will contribute to promotion of co-operation and investment opportunities between both cities.

In term of education-training, Mr. Tat Thanh Cang said Fulbright previously was a US training program applied in Vietnam but today Fulbright Vietnam University will be opened in HCMC. Fulbright Vietnam University is a multidisciplinary university and a milestone of strong co-operation between US and Vietnamese universities.

 
At the meeting, Mr. Tat Thanh Cang and Mr. Allen Warren witnessed the signing ceremony of MoU between HMCM Department of Interior Affairs and UC Davis Extension (under California University).
