At the reception, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hong expressed that the development co-operation programs between Government of the Netherlands and of Vietnam in the past time have achieve many positive results. She expressed her hope that in the coming time, the Government of the Netherlands - with its experience and expertise – will support HCMC to implement 4 agricultural projects: all-in export assistance program, post-harvesting processing, improvement of product value of key products of HCMC, staff training and capacity building.

Mr. Hans Hoogeveen, stressed that the Netherlands always wish to strengthen deep co-operation with Vietnam in general and with HCMC in particular. The Government of the Netherlands has committed to continue supporting and co-operating with Vietnam in the coming time. He said both Vietnam and the Netherlands have the same strengths in field of agricultural products; the Netherlands will help Vietnam, especially in phase of post-harvesting processing.

At the meeting, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hong and Mr. Hans Hoogeveen have witnessed the signing ceremony of MOU between Consulate General of the Netherlands in HCMC, d SATRA and Fresh Studio Innovations on feasibility study for a transaction center of flowers, ornamental plants and aquarium at Binh Dien trading complex and a pilot model of supply chain of cut flowers from Da Lat to HCMC. 

It is expected that transaction center of flowers, ornamental plants and aquarium has an area of 14 hectares. In the first phase, the transaction center will run under the model of closed supply chain (like model of Cash and Carry) and will be gradually switched to a closed supply chain model combined with auction when being eligible.
