At the reception, Mr. Liem affirmed that the well-established cooperation relation between Vietnam and Japan has been continuously strengthened, Vietnam always considered Japan as its strategic parnter in all aspects.

Mr. Liem added that afterthe visit to HCMC of the delegation led by Governor of Kagoshima prefecture, 02 enterprises in Kagoshima has decided to invest in HCMC with total capital of US$ 1 million. Japan now has 1,200 investment projects in HCCM worth US$ 4 billion, ranked 5 out of 100 countries and territories investing in HCMC.

Mentioning about cooperation potential, Mr. Liem said Kagoshima City needs to strengthen coordination with HCMC to seek the same voice on fields of cooperation and of Kagoshima’s strengths in fields of agricultural product processing, food. Besides, Mr. Liem expressed his hope that Kagoshima City will further push cooperation activities with Vietnam, including HCMC in other fields like trade, investment, culture, education, people to people exchange.

For his part, Mr. Hiroyuki Mori thanked HCMC’s leaders for their warm welcome and expressed his impression at the city’s development. Regarding to cooperation relation, he affirmed that Kagoshima is now interested in boossting cooperation with Souteast Asian countries, including Vietnam and HCMC in fields of culture, economy, people to people exchange.

In the coming time, according ro Mr. Hiroyuki Mori, Kagoshima wishes to promote cultural and educational exchanges with Vietnam.
