At the reception, Mr. Phong stressed that Busan city is Korea’s first localities establishing friendship relations with HCMC in 1995. This has become a typical model of cooperation between HCMC with localities of Korea. Since the, both cities have promoted bilateral cooperation in many fields of trade, investment, educaiton, culture, etc. which have been resulted in practical benefits.

In term of economic cooperation, approximately 350 investors of Busan are operating in HCMC. The establishment of Busan Bank in HCMC in 2016 presents a new stage of business connectivity between both sides. Mr. Phong expressed his hope that both cities will promote cooperation in fields of sea port, logistics, water drainage and supply, IT, infrastructure, etc.

For his part, Mr. Oh Keo-Don said the friendship relation between HCMC and Busan is a symbol of dynamism and efficiency. Expressing his impression on the city’s strong development, Mr. Oh Keo-Don expressed his hope that HCMC will continue creating favorable conditions for Busan City’s enterprises in some fields of Busan City’s strengths like infrastructure, sea port, smart cty, tourism, etc.

He expressed his belief that both sides, in the coming time, will seek the most effective solutions to further promote the comprehensive cooperation relaitons between both cities in particular and of Vietnam-Korea in general.
