In the afternoon of March 27, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong recieved new Consul General of Indonesia Hanif Salim.
At the reception, Mr. Phong expressed his delight at witnessing the well-developed Vietnam-Indonesia cooperation relations in all fields.
Mentioning both sides’ bilateral relations, Mr. Phong said Indonesia now ranks 32 out of 96 countries and territories investing in HCMC. He added that there are still huge potential for both countries’ cooperation, expressing his hope that Mr. Hanif Salim will further play the role of linking bridge for Indonesian investors to study and to do business in HCMC, to contribute to the development and prosperity fo both countries.
For his part, Mr. Hanif Salim affirmed Vietnam-Indonesia cooperation relations has been deeply tightened with practical results. He expressed his impression at the city’s growth, saying Indonesian businesses are doing successfully in HCMC with important contributions to the city’s economic development.
