On August 7, Standing Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem received a delegation of Youth Department of Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by Mr. Uchida Shigenobu in a working visit to HCMC.
At the reception, Mr. Uchida Shigenobu thanked HCMC’s leaders for warm welcome and said the delegation to HCMC includes 100 representatives of over 34,000 members of Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The visit aims to study investment environment and seek cooperation opportunities.
According to Mr. Uchida Shigenobu, Japanese enterprises highly appreciates and show their trust on the city’s economic development potential. Mr. Uchida expresses his hope that the city will create favourable conditions for Japanese enterprises to seek long-term cooperation and investment opportunities.
“Youth Department of Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry will make our efforts to strengthen economic-trade-investment cooperation between HCMC and Japan, joining hands to tighten the well-established friendship relations between Japan and Vietnam”, added Mr. Uchida Shigenobu.
For his part, Mr. Liem expressed his delight at witnessing the well-developed cooperation relations between Vietnam and Japan, especially between HCMC and localities of Japan, saying this relation has been deeply developed through cooperation programs in fields of culture, economy, education, tourism, etc. He added the visit of delegation of Youth Department of Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry is of significance to party contribute to the multi-faceted friendship and cooperation relation between Vietnam and Japan.
Mr. Liem affirmed that export processing zones, industrial parks and hi-tech parks in HCMC are now ready for welcoming and creating the most favourable conditions for Japanese investors and enterprises to seek long-term cooperation and business opportunities in the city.
