HCM City’s investment environment would be further improved in the coming time, Deputy Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Manh Ha told a recent reception.
During the reception for US Consul General in HCM City Elizabeth Bitter on May 21, Ha said the city has been frequently organizing dialogues between the local authorities and Japanese companies. That could help authorities solve the firms’ difficulties more effectively.
He suggested the US Consulate General and American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam to co-operate with the city in organizing the similar events in order to promote mutual understanding and timely solve problems for businesses.
Elizabeth Bitter agreed on the opinion. She said that several US businesses which recently made investment in the city have yet had thorough understanding about its policies and regulations th therefore their dialogues with local authorities would help address their difficulties for more effective operation.
She also highly valued efforts from the authorities which have resulted in the city’s higher competitiveness.
She said American companies operating in the city appreciated their endeavour to tackle the US businesses’ difficulties and active support to those invested in the city’s Hi-tech Park.
