Mr. Le Manh Ha, Deputy Head of the Government Office appreciated the joint effort of the  Government e-Portal and the municipal Department of Information and Communications to put the website in operation to update the city's domestic and foreign activities on the e-portal. A database on the city is expected to be developed to serve the operating work by the municipal authorities and the central government. It will also provide official information about HCM City to other cities and provinces.

It is also an important mark  of the close connection between the Government e-portal with websites of major cities like Ha Noi and HCM City. It expressed as well the policy of the Party and the State to consider the  information technology and communications as one of the important technical and scientific means. Information technology is also an economic key to carry out development purposes, to speed up the country's industrialisation and modernisation.
