On February 8, Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Dinh La Thang and Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Van Khoa attended the groundbreaking ceremony of 02 overpasses at Truong Son Intersection and Nguyen Kiem –Nguyen Thai Son roundabout (front of Tan Son Nhat Airport) to ease heavy traffic congestion on roads leading to Tan Son Nhat Airport.
As designed, the steel N-shaped overpasses include a 367m long one heading to Nguyen Kiem-Nguyen Thai Son and a 367m long one heading to Nguyen Kiem – Hoang Minh Giam and a 363m long one heading to Hoang Minh Giam-Nguyen Thai Son.
The overpass at Truong Son-Tan Son Nhat-Binh Loi – Outer Ring Road is a Y-shaped permanent project, providing traffic flow from Truong Son Street to international terminal with 303, 8m and a 153, 8m long section to domestic terminal
Once completed, vehicles entering Tan Son Nhat International Airport or going from Truong Son Street to Tan Son Nhat-Binh Loi Street will take the overpass, avoiding the Truong Son intersection. This will help reducing traffic congestion.
