Fundraising campaign for Truong Sa soldiers

The Ho Chi Minh City chapter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on May 14 started a fundraising campaign in support of officers safeguarding national sovereignty at Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago.
Over VND8.8 billion (USD410,000) in cash and other gifts were donated right at the launch ceremony of the drive that will last for a fortnight.
Since 2014, the city has presented four boats to Navy Zone 4 and gifts to Truong Sa soldiers and officers, totalling over VND20 billion (USD950,000).
