At the meeting, Mr. Dinh La Thang highly valued contributions of Fulbright’s training programs  to improvement of human resource quality of Vietnam in general and of HCMC in particular. Especially, FUV project located in HCMC is a very important project, help improve training quality and create competition opportunities for HCMC. He affirmed, leaders of the State, the Party are paying special attention to the establishment of FUV, saying that HCMC will create the most favorable conditions for the launch of FUV at the time when US President Barack Obama visits Vietnam.

Mr. Thomas Vallely thanked Mr. Dinh La Thang for his attention to FUV. He said that Fulbright University and Harvard University have conducted many research projects on development of Vietnam. However, impacts of these projects on Vietnam are still limited. Therefore, he expressed his hope that with activities of FUV in the future, high quality research projects will have positive impacts on development of Vietnam in general and of HCMC in particular.
