In the afternoon of March 7, Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Tran Vinh Tuyen had a working session with a French business delegation of 14 companies in fields of tranport and urban railway on a visit to seek investment opportunities in the city.

Mr. Tuyen expressed his hope that the working session will open prospects for cooperation between both sides, especially in fields of urban and public transport development - one of the city’s most concerned issues – which are attracting foreign investment.  Mr. Tuyen affirmed that the city will create favorable conditions for foreign investor, including Frenche ones, to promote cooperation and to invest in the city. 

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Vincent Floreani, French Consul General in HCMC, thanked the city’s leaders for their trust and support for French companies to carry out some projects like Metro Line No 1 and other waterway and airway projects in the city.

Mr. Vincent Floreani added that transport development is a typical and important field for Vietnam-France cooperation relations.
