In the first two months of 2015, HCMC attracted a total investment capital of  (newly registered and adjusted) US$ 506.3 million, up 170,5% compared to the same period of last year.

According to report of HCMC Department of Planning and Investment, till February 15, there are 14 newly registered projects with total capital of US$ 421,7 million, up 5,1% compared to the same period in term of number of projects and up 180% in term of capital; 20 adjusted capital projects with total capital of US$ 84,6 million, up 53,9% in term of number of projects and 131,3% in term of adjusted capital compared to the same period of last year.

In term of domestic investment, till February 15, there are 3,826 newly licensed enterprises with total registered capital of VND 18,297.8 billion, up 58% in term of number of projects and 34,7% in term of registered capital compared to the same period of last year; 6,659 enterprises registered for changing content of business registration with additional capital of VND 21,769 billion, up 49,6% in term of number of enterprises and up 66,7% in term of capital compared to the same period of last year.

In January 2015, 1,445 enterprises stopped their operation, down 40,8% compared to the same period of 2014. Till February 15, 349 enterprises completed dissolution procedures at HCMC Department of Planning and Investment, equivalent to 9,1% of newly established enterprises and down 6,1% compared to last year. Currently, a total of 236,980 enterprises are registered (except for dissolved ones).
