According to a report of HCMC Department of Transportation, in the first 9 months of 2015, Saigon Water Supply Corporation (SAWACO) has supplied clean water to extra of 73,420 households out of 358,351 households; the rest will be supplied clean water till end of 2015.

SAWACO has installed 182 water meter clocks/141water meters (surpassing its target of 69 water meters); constructing 28 water supply stations and supplying clean water for 21,021 households in suburban areas. SAWACO has installed 172/658 clean water sinks and supplied clean water to 13,593 households in areas where are not installed water pipes.

In order to help households who are using well water that is seriously affected by alum, HCMC Department of Transport has invited 6 companies specializing in installing water filter equipment to test and to bid for contract to install water filter equipment at households.

Addressing at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tin directed localities in suburban areas to propagandize the use of clean water to every household to ensure their health, coming to their houses to study and to take statistics of clean water using, to promptly install water pipes and water meters at their houses.
