On June 19, at Tan Binh Exhibition and Convention Center, HCMC, Deputy Secretary of HCMC Party’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha and Vice Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee attended the opening ceremony of the “Honoring Vietnamese products 2015” exhibition with title of “Vietnam products-connectivity-development”. The exhibition is co-organized by The Steering Committee of “Vietnamese give priority to use Vietnamese goods”, HCMC People’s Committee and HCMC Union of Business Association (HUBA).
The exhibition attracted 220 Vietnamese enterprises with over 400 booths displaying high quality and prestigious products in fields of food processing, textile and footwear, household products, plastic, wood furniture and handicrafts, cosmetics, electrical and mechanical appliances, cultural products, etc.
A special factor of the exhibition is the program of “selecting typical products” to encourage technology innovation, creative investment of enterprises in design, production of new high quality products, competitive price.
Mr. Huynh Van Minh, Chairman of HUBA, number of exhibitors in this year increased by 30% compared to last year. The difference of this year’s exhibition is that Vietnamese consumers can be able to buy the right products manufactured by Vietnamese 100% owned enterprises. Besides, in order to mobilize a mass participation of enterprises, the Organizing Board has coordinated with HCMC Business Associations (HBA) to invite production enterprises of 4 key fields and supporting industries to participate.
The Honoring Vietnamese products is an opportunity for enterprises to promote their products, to enhance Vietnamese brand prestige, to serve shopping demands of local people and those who give priority to use Vietnamese goods as well as for export.
Speaking at the exhibition, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha stressed that the campaign of “Vietnamese give priority to use Vietnamese products” is implemented with 5 groups of solutions including: information, propaganda; connecting businesses with consumption markets; improvement of competitiveness for enterprises; market inspection; implementation of programs of encouraging to use Vietnamese products and the honoring Vietnamese product exhibition.
Mrs. Ha noted that consumers are more and more paying attention to Vietnamese products. Therefore, HCMC has issued many policies of promotion of production and business activities, connectivity of banks and enterprises, market stabilization program of essential goods, supporting enterprises to participate into demand stimulus programs through investment to help enterprises renew technique, technology and improve competitiveness.
