On December 28, HCMC Department of Natural Resources and Environment organized a ceremony to present environmental awards 2016 to 38 groups and 4 individuals. Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Van Khoa attended the ceremony.

Speaking at the awarding ceremony, Mr. Le Van Khoa said: this is a special occasion to honor individuals and organizations whose contributions are crucial for environment protection, saying they are bright examples that need to be replicated and mobilize many people and units to join hands in preserving and protecting environment in HCMC.

Mr. Le Van Khoa expressed his hope every group and individual, who are granted the environmental awards, are bright examples in the cause of environment protection, mobilizing community and businesses to move towards sustainable production and consumption, effectively using natural resource and energy, continuously preventing and reducing environmental pollution, contributing to the process of building HCMC into a green, clean, beautiful city. 

HCMC Environmental Awards 2016 after 6 months of implementation, the Organizing Board has received 70 dossiers from individuals and groups in many various fields. Through a process of selection, the Organizing Board has selected 38 typical groups and individuals. This is a foundation for Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to introduce groups and individuals in the Environmental Awards 2017.
