Effective anti-flooding requires a “conductor”

On May 28, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee charied a mid-term preliminary summing up of action plan No 17-CTtHD/TU on anti-flooding program in 2016-2020.
Mr. Phong emphasized that the city’s anti-flooding target includes 5 groups of solutions: improving planning quality and planning management; handling simulateneous draignage congestion; building anti-flooding projects; applying science and technology; mobilizing local people to supervise the implementation process.
Mr. Phong said effective anti-flooding requires a “conductor” to play the role of linking all plannings, improving quality of planning and planing management.
